The Role

Whisper is seeking a talented Video Editor (Craft Editor) to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This position is offered as a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract, with the successful candidate contributing to a wide range of content for digital and social channels. The role requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in video editing, capable of producing visually stunning and engaging features.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform offline and online editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Work collaboratively within a team to create diverse content for digital and social platforms.
• Execute grading and sound mixing tasks.
• Understand and apply technical requirements to meet and uphold Quality Control (QC) standards.
• Ensure all output complies with Whisper’s editorial, technical, design, and accessibility standards, while adhering to the company’s Health and Safety policy.
• Monitor developments and trends in the digital space and propose creative content suggestions.
• Uphold the company's reputation by embodying Whisper’s professional ethos.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven ability to create visually compelling edits.
• A passion for creativity and visual storytelling, with the ambition to contribute new ideas and designs as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience in producing engaging, entertaining, and creative features.
• Understanding of technical specifications, creative, and editorial requirements for direct delivery to social media platforms.
• Knowledge of media management, including content requesting and ingesting.
• Ability to accurately interpret briefs from internal production teams and external clients.
• Capacity to work both independently and in collaboration with a Producer.
• Flexibility regarding working days and hours to fulfill needs during crucial project phases.
• Creativity to bring a fresh approach to developing engaging and evolving content.
• Experience working effectively within a team in a pressurized environment.
• Strong task prioritization skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships within a diverse team.
• Proactive attitude and ability to promote a positive work ethic within the team.
• Capability to work on own initiative.

Work Conditions and Location

This position is Saudi-based, with the specific location potentially in Riyadh or NEOM, subject to project requirements. Standard working days are Sunday to Thursday. The role is a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract with an ASAP start date. Remuneration will be discussed based on experience. For positions based in NEOM, additional benefits include accommodation, ground transport, a return flight allowance, and a meal plan.
