About the Role

Food Industries Polytechnic (معهد الصناعات الغذائية) is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to join its team in Al Kharj. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with 0-1 years of experience who hold a relevant diploma. The role focuses on the installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of commercial and residential refrigeration systems.

Role Purpose

The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of various refrigeration units. This involves executing technical tasks from initial setup and testing to ongoing preventive maintenance and complex troubleshooting, all while adhering to stringent safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, start up, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and residential refrigeration systems, including air handling units, condensers, evaporators, control panels, and related components.
• Diagnose technical issues by applying knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems, and perform necessary repairs or component replacements.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance to maximize system efficiency and reliability, meticulously documenting all findings and actions taken.
• Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and various technical manuals.
• Perform system performance tests, including temperature, pressure, and airflow measurements, to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, propose solutions, and outline maintenance plans, providing clear and timely reports and recommendations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, consistently adhering to company safety policies and all relevant local regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma in a relevant technical field is required.
• 0-1 years of experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar technical role.
