About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Aircraft Avionics Technician for a full-time position in Tabuk. In this role, the technician will ensure effective maintenance support for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Hawk Fleet, adhering to RSAF policies, procedures, and M&CA mandates. The position requires mitigating activities that could prejudice maintenance or safety, while operating within RSAF constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, debrief, and rectify aircraft faults.
  • Schedule aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Maintain personal competency and ensure SQEP levels are within mandated limits.
  • Manage personal time to meet operational requirements.
  • Provide cover for the supervisor during periods of absence.
  • Support the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) to deliver serviceable aircraft for contractual operational and flying commitments.
  • Ensure personal and peer safety, including training technicians and fostering a strong safety culture during fault finding, repair, and delivery of serviceable assets.
  • Provide accurate information to Line Managers to achieve the ETIC schedule, identifying and rectifying issues during maintenance.
  • Manage repairable components within the supply repair channel and maintain efficient supply discipline within the team.
  • Ensure procedural compliance for Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration, Support Equipment maintenance, and the Tool Control system.
  • Collaborate effectively within a mixed workforce.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, maintaining tact, discretion, and confidence when interacting with all levels.
  • Adopt a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) at the appropriate level is required prior to commencing employment in KSA and must be maintained throughout the role.
  • A recognized qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
  • Relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment-specific training may be required.
  • Alternatively, a current or lapsed Part 66 license, or an equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.

Work Environment

This role involves working in close harmony within a diverse team environment, supporting the RSAF Hawk Fleet operations in Tabuk.
