About the Director of People & Capabilities Role

Jayasom Wellness Resort Amaala in Tabuk is seeking a Director of People & Capabilities to lead the implementation of the company's strategy, culture, and people initiatives. This full-time role requires a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience to develop and manage the People & Capabilities structure, policies, and programs in alignment with the resort’s mission and objectives. The successful candidate will foster strong relationships with stakeholders and champion Jayasom’s wellness and sustainability culture.

Core Responsibilities

The Director of People & Capabilities will oversee all aspects of the People & Capabilities function. This includes, but is not limited to, talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning. The role involves developing and implementing HR policies and strategies, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and Saudi labor laws. A key responsibility will be leading the pre-opening HR critical path, recruitment strategy, onboarding, and workforce readiness.

Strategic Partnerships and Development

This position requires close collaboration with department leaders on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, coaching, and organizational development. The Director will manage the department budget, HRIS, annual people plans, and corporate reporting. Furthermore, the role involves overseeing learning and development programs, succession planning, and employee development initiatives. Building relationships with educational institutions, industry partners, and external stakeholders to support talent acquisition and development is also a critical component of this role.

Compliance and Operational Standards

Ensuring compliance with local legislation, managing shared services, outsourced providers, and all people-related operational standards are essential duties. The Director will be responsible for maintaining adherence to established HR practices and legal requirements within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A BSc/BA in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven HR leadership experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a preference for pre-opening experience.
  • Strong knowledge of talent management, Saudi labor law, HR policies, and strategic human resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, coaching, and learning & development.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, workforce planning, analytics, and organizational development.
