The Role: Dive Technician

Red Sea Global is seeking a Dive Technician to join the team in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, site-based role is crucial for supporting the maintenance, servicing, and operational readiness of all dive-related equipment across assigned assets. The Dive Technician works closely with the Dive Center Technician and operational teams to ensure all diving equipment is maintained to the highest safety and performance standards, adhering to manufacturer guidelines, local regulations, and company policies. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe and seamless dive operations within a high-end marine tourism environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all dive-related equipment is fully functional, safe, and ready for use at all times.
  • Support the Dive Center Technician and management in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of dive equipment.
  • Assist other dive center locations with equipment servicing and operational support as required, demonstrating flexibility to work across various sites, including remote operations.
  • Support the setup, inspection, and commissioning of all dive equipment during the pre-opening phase, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet operational and safety requirements.
  • Assist in establishing maintenance systems, inventory processes, and service schedules.
  • Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs of all dive equipment, including regulators, BCDs, cylinders, compressors, and related systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including asset tracking, service histories, and monitoring of all equipment servicing, repairs, and replacements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment faults, ensuring timely resolution to minimize operational disruption.
  • Support the daily operations of the dive center, including equipment preparation and readiness, and ensure all equipment is stored, handled, and transported according to best practices.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality

  • Prioritize safety in all equipment handling and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of compressed gases and diving equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards and promote responsible operational practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and storage environment.

Operational Standards and Continuous Improvement

  • Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and inventory records.
  • Report any equipment failures, risks, or safety concerns promptly to management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the implementation of best practices aligned with international diving and technical standards.

Work Environment and Expectations

This role operates within a luxury dive center and marine tourism environment. It requires flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and peak seasons, as operational needs dictate. The position involves technical, hands-on work in both workshop and operational settings, playing a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and quality of dive operations.
