The Role of Excavation Foreman

Bouygues Travaux Publics is seeking an Excavation Foreman to lead day-to-day excavation operations. This full-time role involves coordinating crews, equipment, and work sequencing to meet project requirements on site in Al Ula, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise excavation activities and ensure compliance with approved method statements.
• Monitor the progress of excavation operations.
• Conduct pre-task safety briefings and enforce safe work practices.
• Address site hazards promptly.
• Coordinate with the superintendent and other production interfaces to follow up on excavation limits.
• Review daily work outputs and report progress and issues to the Production department.
• Support corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Manage basic site organization, equipment readiness coordination, and material handling interface activities as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Foreman-level experience in excavation, with 2-5 years of proven ability to lead field crews and production activities.
• Understanding of excavation methods, sequencing, and basic quality controls related to grades, levels, and excavation limits.
• Ability to enforce HSE requirements, conduct toolbox talks, and manage day-to-day safety compliance on construction sites.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in reading and applying work plans, drawings, and applicable site instructions.
• Familiarity with surveying/levels coordination is considered a plus.
• Competence in coordinating equipment and manpower to maintain productivity while minimizing rework and downtime.
• Good communication skills in a multicultural work environment, with the ability to provide clear daily updates and escalate risks.

Work Location

This position is based in Al Ula, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, supporting major infrastructure projects.
