About the Role

Miraval The Red Sea, part of Miraval Resorts & Spas, is seeking a Laundry Manager to lead and oversee all laundry and tailoring operations. Based in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, this full-time role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, garment care, presentation, efficiency, and colleague service across the resort. The Laundry Manager will maintain smooth daily operations of the laundry facility, colleague uniforms, linen processing, guest laundry services, and tailoring functions, aligning with Hyatt and Miraval standards. This position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Operational Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily laundry operations, including linen processing, guest laundry, dry cleaning coordination, and uniform management.
  • Ensure all items are cleaned, finished, and delivered according to established quality and timing standards.
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and operational efficiency, ensuring proper handling, sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and storage procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of linen, uniforms, and guest garments to maintain quality.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to maintain operational linen par levels.
  • Supervise tailoring operations, including alterations, repairs, fittings, and uniform maintenance.
  • Ensure colleagues receive properly fitted and well-maintained uniforms, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Handle guest laundry requests professionally, confidentially, and within established timelines.
  • Respond promptly to guest and colleague requests or special garment care requirements.

Leadership and Quality Standards

  • Lead, motivate, and develop Laundry Attendants and Tailors through coaching, training, and daily support.
  • Prepare schedules and allocate duties based on business demands and operational priorities.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Conduct departmental training on equipment use, chemical handling, garment care, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Hyatt and Miraval brand standards, hygiene protocols, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within all laundry and uniform areas.
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure laundry equipment is maintained and report maintenance issues promptly.

Resource Management and Cost Control

  • Monitor and control departmental expenses, including chemicals, linen, uniforms, and operational supplies.
  • Conduct regular linen and uniform inventory counts and assist in loss prevention measures.
  • Support cost control initiatives while maintaining quality service standards.
  • Assist with forecasting linen and uniform requirements based on occupancy and operational needs.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong leadership, operational organization, quality control, and attention to detail. This role requires the ability to cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment. Candidates must adhere strictly to established rules and regulations, maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, and project a positive, calm, and mindful attitude at all times.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position is based at a Wellness Destination Resort located on Shura Island, where work may be required both indoors and outdoors. The role demands the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as to lift and move laundry items and operational supplies as required.
