About the Senior Transportation Design Engineer Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Transportation Design Engineer to join its team in Tabuk. This full-time position involves providing technical review for significant road and highway infrastructure projects. The role is central to ensuring the quality and compliance of design deliverables within complex transportation initiatives.

Key Technical Focus

The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of multidisciplinary engineering aspects relevant to transportation projects. This includes expertise in transportation engineering, drainage, structures, geotechnics, traffic engineering, and utility interfaces. The role supports both design development and critical technical assurance activities across various project stages.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical reviews of highway, roadway, interchange, and general infrastructure designs.
  • Review and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering submissions, encompassing transportation, drainage, structural, geotechnical, utilities, and traffic engineering packages.
  • Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, the Saudi Highway Code (SHC), Ministry of Transport (MOT) standards, AASHTO guidelines, and other relevant international standards.
  • Evaluate design reports, drawings, calculations, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical studies.
  • Coordinate effectively with design consultants, contractors, and various stakeholders throughout all design stages.
  • Assess and provide feedback on technical proposals.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have between 5 to 10 years of professional experience in transportation design engineering or a closely related field. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to perform technical reviews and manage multidisciplinary design coordination for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Adherence to Standards

A critical aspect of this role is ensuring strict adherence to established engineering standards and codes. This includes comprehensive knowledge and application of the Saudi Highway Code (SHC), Ministry of Transport (MOT) standards, AASHTO guidelines, and other pertinent international design and engineering standards to maintain project integrity and safety.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, supporting local and regional infrastructure development projects.
