About the Linguistics Specialist Role

Cactus Communications, through its flagship brand Editage, is building a global pool of freelance contributors and is currently seeking a Linguistics Specialist. This part-time, remote position supports ongoing AI and language-based projects. We are welcoming bilingual speakers, particularly those located in the Makkah region, including Taif, to join our platform.

Project Engagement and Work Structure

The Linguistics Specialist will engage in flexible, task-based work, contributing remotely to various projects. This role involves supporting the refinement and development of language-centric AI models and content across diverse subject areas. Contributors will work on an ad hoc basis, managing tasks according to project needs.

Core Responsibilities

• Review and refine text, translations, and captions across general areas such as travel, food, lifestyle, and finance.
• Transcribe conversations and perform quality checks on transcribed content.
• Label or annotate voice, text, or image content for AI training purposes.
• Review and correct outputs generated by AI systems.
• Assist in localizing content specifically for AI models.
• Accurately identify and label dialect variations within language data.

Candidate Requirements

• Near-native level proficiency in the target language.
• Strong command of English.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions precisely.

Work Arrangement
