About the Senior Asset Suppression Specialist Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Asset Suppression Specialist to join their team in Taif. This full-time role involves supporting and enhancing tactical and strategic asset management, with a focus on identifying, prioritizing, and controlling key assets that influence fleet performance, particularly aircraft availability Key Performance Measures (KPMs). The specialist will ensure the organization sustains current SSS Ph4 performance levels and is prepared to meet future Ph5 requirements.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the established Asset Suppression Team, optimizing asset control within the operational environment. This includes driving robust management practices, identifying constraints, inefficiencies, and single-point criticalities. The specialist will deliver practical, data-driven solutions, efficiencies, and mitigations to reduce asset vulnerability and maintain or increase overall fleet availability for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Typhoon programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Asset Suppression Team under the direction of the Salam Support Chain Optimisation Manager, ensuring the asset management process is fully optimized to reduce criticality and sustain or improve fleet availability across the RSAF Typhoon programme.
• Identify and deliver mitigations that reduce individual asset criticality, preserve availability, and drive measurable improvements in asset and platform performance.
• Execute core team management responsibilities, including resource allocation, task planning, prioritization of activities, and completion of mandatory leadership duties such as training compliance, PDRs, and performance oversight.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) requirements, including adherence to local SHE plans, timely reporting of hazardous occurrences, and accurate collation and submission of accident/incident data.
• Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with RSAF customers, MODSAP, PC teams, and Typhoon core programme personnel, ensuring strong tactical and strategic integration, coordinated mitigation activity, and consistent stakeholder engagement.
• Provide regular reporting on findings, status, achievements, and performance indicators, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
• Support Taif Operational and Management Reviews through the provision of data, analysis, recommendations, and updates relating to asset suppression activities.
• Contribute to Engineering and Life Cycle Management activities as required, including engineering change definition, capability insertion, and the promotion of Learning from Experience (LfE) into future contract negotiations and programme improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated contribution to Taif Operational and Management Reviews through preparation, analysis, or presentation of Asset Suppression related material is desirable.
• Evidence of a continuous improvement mindset, demonstrated through proactive identification of inefficiencies, process improvements, or availability-enhancing initiatives, is desirable.
