Role Purpose and Guest Experience

The Airport Greeter serves as the first point of contact for guests, embodying the Raffles brand's commitment to anticipatory service and impeccable standards. This position ensures a seamless and welcoming arrival experience, from initial greeting at the airport to coordinating transport and assisting with luggage. The role requires a proactive approach to guest needs and a strong focus on maintaining the hotel's 5-star image in a public terminal.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily guest arrival lists and flight details closely to ensure a presence at the terminal for every scheduled flight.
• Greet guests warmly at the arrival hall with a personalized signboard, using the guest's name immediately upon welcome.
• Coordinate with the Chief Concierge to ensure the correct number of hotel cars are on standby and meet brand cleanliness and amenity standards.
• Assist guests with their baggage from the carousel to the vehicle, ensuring all items are handled with extreme care and correctly loaded.
• Inform the hotel Front Office and Butler teams immediately when VIP guests are en route.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with airport personnel, immigration, and customs officers to facilitate smooth guest passage.
• Act as a frontline problem-solver for delayed flights, lost luggage, or transport issues, reporting any guest complaints to the Chief Concierge for further action.

Professional Standards and Conduct

Candidates are expected to uphold the highest professional standards, reflecting the luxury image of Raffles The Red Sea. This includes demonstrating an anticipatory service style by identifying guest needs before they are requested, such as offering water or a cold towel. Impeccable grooming and a neat, professional appearance are mandatory at all times. Effective communication requires clear, professional English and cultural sensitivity when interacting with international clientele.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Typically requires at least 2 years of experience in a 5-star hotel environment, often with a background in Bell or Door services.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy luggage.
• Deep familiarity with airport terminal layouts, hotel facilities, and local area highlights to answer guest inquiries during the initial greeting.
• Understanding of Ultra-Luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
• Experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-Opening stages is a must.
• Demonstrated proactive, anticipatory approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with luxury standards.
