Job Description
Executive Assistant Manager, People and Culture
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is seeking an Executive Assistant Manager in Charge of People and Culture (EAM in Charge of P&C) to join the opening team of the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island. This full-time position is based in Umluj and Al Wajh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and plays a central role in establishing the resort's employee experience and company culture from its inception.
The Red Sea Resort Context
The Red Sea destination is being developed as a luxury beachside destination along 200 km of coastline between Umluj and Al Wajh. The new Four Seasons Resort will be situated on Shura Island, which serves as the development's central hub. This island will feature a yacht marina, leisure and lifestyle facilities, retail outlets, and an 18-hole golf course. The destination emphasizes sustainable practices, utilizing renewable energy and dedicating extensive conservation zones. The resort itself will offer approximately 149 rooms and suites, six dining outlets, meeting spaces, a marine discovery centre, a Kids for All Seasons space, a full-service spa, tennis courts, three outdoor pools, and two private beaches.
Role Purpose and Reporting
The Director of People and Culture (EAM in Charge of P&C) is responsible for leading the People, Culture, and Learning strategy and its execution for the resort. This role provides essential People and Culture support with the objective of positioning the hotel as an Employer of Choice. The position reports directly to the General Manager, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Regional Director of People and Culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the People, Culture, and Learning strategy and execution for the resort.
- Provide People and Culture support to position the hotel as the Employer of Choice.
- Act as the Cultural Advocate of the Golden Rule in all employee actions.
- Champion top talent and actively support succession planning.
- Support the hotel as a Business Partner.
- Foster relationships through coaching.
- Support and drive Corporate People and Culture initiatives.
- Actively support recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of People and Culture programs and initiatives.
- Analyze compensation and benefits trends to balance cost and employee experience.
- Develop the learning quality and experience on property.
- Deliver workplace learning and development and performance improvement programs.
Candidate Qualifications
- A passion for people, talent management, and learning.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- An understanding of operational needs and the ability to contribute to key strategies and operational decisions for the hotel.
- The ability to act as a catalyst for change and an employee champion.
