The Role of Manager - Financial Operations

Red Sea Global is seeking a Manager - Financial Operations to join the team in Umluj. This full-time role reports directly to the Director of Finance within the Utilities Finance department. The primary responsibility is to lead and manage the entire accounts receivable and billing lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, proper revenue recognition, and effective collections to optimize cash flow.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end billing processes, including finalizing end-user agreements.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure the completeness and accuracy of consumption data.
• Generate and submit final bills to clients, followed by reconciling payments and closing invoices in SAP ERP.
• Monitor aging reports to identify and manage delinquent accounts.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with overdue customers and promptly escalate unresolved cases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement optimal credit policies.
• Prepare and present Accounts Receivable Key Performance Indicators (AR KPIs).
• Provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support decision-making.

Compliance and Process Enhancement

• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks specific to the utilities sector.
• Support both internal and external audits.
• Implement policies and procedures designed to safeguard receivables.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend targeted improvements.
• Drive automation initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency within financial operations.
• Optimize systems used for billing and collections processes.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial operations, specifically within accounts receivable and billing management. A strong background in finance or accounting, coupled with experience in an ERP system like SAP, is essential. The ability to manage complex financial processes, ensure compliance, and drive technological improvements is critical.
