About the Role
Miraval Resorts & Spas is expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia with the opening of Miraval The Red Sea, a luxury wellness destination located in Tabuk, specifically in the areas of Umluj and Tabuk. As a Spa Therapist at this new resort, you will be instrumental in delivering personalized wellness experiences that align with Miraval's philosophy of nurturing physical and emotional well-being. This full-time position is an opportunity to contribute to a transformative hospitality project focused on mindful connection and a life in balance.
Role Overview
The Spa Therapist is responsible for providing exceptional bodywork and wellness services designed to promote relaxation, rejuvenation, and overall guest well-being. Adhering to the Miraval philosophy, each session aims to foster presence, balance, and connection, addressing both physical needs and deeper states of being. With a commitment to service excellence and expertise in various therapeutic techniques, the Spa Therapist ensures each guest's experience is thoughtful, intentional, and supportive of their individual wellness journey within a tranquil and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of spa treatments, including massage, body therapies, and signature Miraval treatments, with professionalism and personalized care.
- Conduct thorough pre-treatment consultations to ensure guest safety, comfort, and treatment customization.
- Integrate mindfulness cues or guided relaxation techniques to enhance guest presence and awareness during treatments.
- Provide thoughtful aftercare recommendations to support guests' continued well-being.
- Maintain a calm, compassionate, and respectful environment for all guests.
- Prepare treatment rooms to Miraval standards, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and appropriate ambiance.
- Maintain spa equipment, linens, and tools in excellent condition and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere to internal protocols, safety practices, and guest documentation systems.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and supporting general spa operations.
- Follow the working schedule diligently and coordinate with the spa team for seamless service delivery.
- Continuously refine treatment skills through ongoing education and development programs.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in spa therapies and wellness practices.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
- Represent the Miraval brand with professionalism and a strong sense of purpose.
- Foster strong guest relationships and contribute to high guest satisfaction.
- Offer personalized recommendations for additional spa services, wellness sessions, and retail products.
- Collaborate with other resort teams to cross-promote complementary experiences.
- Support the achievement of spa revenue targets through service excellence and guest engagement.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the spa menu and resort offerings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certified Massage Therapist or equivalent license recognized in the country of origin and/or Saudi Arabia.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in luxury spas, wellness retreats, or hospitality environments.
- Skilled in a range of techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, Thai, aromatherapy, facial, and body treatments.
- Experience with holistic or wellness-based bodywork modalities such as reflexology, lymphatic drainage, or prenatal massage is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of anatomy, contraindications, and professional draping standards.
- Additional certifications in wellness practices (*, mindfulness, salon services, meditation, yoga, nutrition) are considered an asset.
- A warm, respectful, and attentive presence with strong guest communication skills.
- Exceptional bodywork skills combined with intuitive guest care and responsiveness.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable in all aspects of spa operations.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional wellness team.

Work Environment and Type
This is a full-time position. The work environment includes both indoor spa settings and potentially outdoor areas as needed. The role is based in the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia, serving guests at Miraval The Red Sea in Umluj and Tabuk.
