About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Spa Therapist to join their team in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh. This is a full-time position. The Spa Therapist will be responsible for providing a range of massage services and body treatments to guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their experience.

Core Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Spa Therapist include performing massage services and body treatments. This involves assessing guest needs and inquiring about any contraindications prior to service. The therapist is expected to stay current with massage techniques and modalities. Maintaining a clean and organized workstation and treatment room is essential, including arranging supplies and equipment. Throughout each service, the therapist must frequently check with the guest to ensure their comfort, safety, and security.

Guest Experience and Sales

In addition to providing treatments, the Spa Therapist will promote and sell spa and salon services, including retail offerings. Maintaining the cleanliness and sterilization of tools is a key responsibility. This includes disposing of trash and dirty linens, and securing supplies and equipment to ensure a hygienic and efficient environment.

Operational and Safety Protocols

Adherence to the daily time schedule is required. The Spa Therapist must handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures, which may include stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor or manager. Maintaining current skills and licensure as per regional requirements is mandatory. Reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to the manager is also a critical duty. Completion of safety training and certifications, along with adherence to all company policies and procedures, is expected. The therapist must ensure their uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional at all times, and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information while protecting company assets.

Professional Conduct and Guest Interaction

Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards is fundamental. Anticipating and addressing guests' service needs proactively, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation are key aspects of guest interaction. Communication should be clear and professional when speaking with others, and positive working relationships should be developed and maintained.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

Candidates must possess a State or Regional Massage License. The role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Therapists must be able to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, and move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating objects. Other reasonable job duties as requested may also be performed.
