Land Logistics Specialist

About the Role

United Group is seeking a Land Logistics Specialist to manage inbound and outbound land transport operations. This full-time role is based in Yanbu Al Sinaiyah, Al Madinah, and involves overseeing the movement of raw materials, supplies, and finished products. The specialist will ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective deliveries, working under the guidance of the Fleet Operations Manager to balance inbound and outbound logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule inbound truck movements based on procurement and plant requirements.
• Schedule outbound deliveries according to confirmed sales orders and plant dispatch.
• Allocate trucks and transporters to meet delivery schedules and commitments.
• Coordinate receiving and dispatch timings with plants, stations, terminals, warehouses, and sales teams.
• Follow up with transporters and drivers on loading, trip progress, arrival, and delivery.
• Direct heavy truck drivers on assignments and compliance, and guide logistics support staff.
• Resolve delays, breakdowns, and delivery issues promptly.
• Track inbound shipments to receipt at site and outbound deliveries from dispatch to customer receipt.
• Update Procurement, Sales, and customers on shipment status.
• Resolve delivery delays, shortages, and customer complaints, escalating significant issues to management.
• Collect proof of delivery and signed documents, maintaining accurate dispatch, delivery, and truck turnaround records.
• Verify delivery documents, trip records, and transporter invoices against agreed rates.
• Monitor inbound and outbound transport costs and highlight variances to the Fleet Operations Manager.
• Maintain accurate shipment and trip records for audit and reporting purposes.
• Ensure drivers and vehicles comply with road safety, site, and loading HSE requirements.
• Report incidents, deviations, and service issues to the Fleet Operations Manager.
• Prepare periodic inbound and outbound logistics, cost, and on-time performance reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant logistics role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage land transport operations effectively.
• Strong understanding of logistics planning, scheduling, and coordination.
