Service Engineer

About Yokogawa and the Role

Yokogawa specializes in industrial automation, test and measurement, information systems, and industrial services. This full-time Service Engineer position is based in Yanbu and focuses on providing customer support and service for Yokogawa's control, safety, and asset-management systems. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt technical support for CENTUM VP, ProSafe-RS, and PRM systems.
• Execute on-site commissioning, startup assistance, and emergency support.
• Manage inquiries and perform troubleshooting, investigation, analysis, testing, and resolution of issues from client sites.
• Support add-on and expansion service projects through engineering, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including hardware and software modifications and upgrades.
• Implement online and offline system modifications and enhancements.
• Support customer satisfaction, process uptime, and system performance, and provide customized client training when requested.
• Identify additional service opportunities within existing client accounts and contribute to service-division growth.
• Adapt to onshore and offshore assignments, including short- or long-term resident site support.

Required Competencies and Skills

• Strong understanding of Yokogawa DCS and ESD engineering and online maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with safety standards, guidelines, and functional safety management concepts; TUV certification is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of control techniques and optimization methodologies.
• Strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a commitment to service excellence.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant service engineering role, ideally within industrial automation or related fields.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, with requirements for both onshore and offshore assignments, including potential short- or long-term resident site support.
