The Role of Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer

Under general supervision, the Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer independently applies advanced engineering techniques to address complex challenges. This role involves making critical decisions on engineering problems and methods, ensuring optimal project outcomes. The engineer will also represent the organization in key forums, engaging with external engineers and officials to resolve important questions and negotiate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently apply advanced engineering techniques and methodologies.
• Make informed decisions regarding engineering problems and proposed methods.
• Represent the organization in conferences to resolve significant technical questions.
• Engage in negotiations with key engineers and officials from other organizations.
• Manage measurable assets, including assigned staff and project budgets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and less experienced engineers.
• Serve as a trusted consultant, with associates and others relying heavily on scientific interpretations and advice.

Required Experience and Expertise

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment engineering, particularly within design and construction contexts. A proven ability to apply advanced engineering principles and make independent technical decisions is essential. The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills for external representation, alongside the capacity to provide effective technical guidance internally.
