Job Description

About the Role

Dallah Healthcare is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This full-time role involves providing financial information to management through research, analysis of accounting data, and report preparation. The Accountant will be responsible for auditing financial documents, reconciling bank statements, and managing tax payments and returns. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in bookkeeping and a keen eye for numerical accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Document financial transactions by accurately entering account information.
  • Recommend financial actions based on thorough analysis of accounting options.
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Substantiate financial transactions through diligent auditing of documents.
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending robust policies and procedures.
  • Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and providing clear answers to questions.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secure financial information by completing regular database backups.
  • Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls.
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence, and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional societies.
  • Actively participate in indicator development and data collection for the department to measure functional, process, and outcome performance.
  • Conduct analysis and interpretation of collected data/information as required.
  • Participate in hospital Safety Management & Risk Management Programs.
  • Report incidents in the system and participate in incident review and root cause analysis when needed.
  • Perform any other tasks within competence as directed by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Required Skills

  • Strong bookkeeping skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot numerical mistakes.
  • Proficiency in financial data research and analysis.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports.
  • Knowledge of accounting policies, regulations, and internal controls.
