In this role as an AI Trainer, you will directly engage with sophisticated language models, assessing their proficiency in understanding and applying Gulf Arabic. By identifying and documenting their limitations, you will play a key part in refining AI reasoning and ensuring its accuracy and cultural relevance. Key Responsibilities

• Engage in conversations with advanced language models using Gulf Arabic across a wide range of subjects.
• Validate the linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness of the model's responses.
• Document reproducible error traces when the model performs inaccurately or inappropriately.
• Propose enhancements to prompt engineering strategies and evaluation metrics used in model training.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in phonetics, morphology, syntax, regional dialects, colloquial expressions, and cultural references specific to Gulf Arabic.
• Ability to challenge advanced language models on aspects such as contextual interpretation, dialectical distinctions, semantic accuracy, and cultural nuance.
• Proficiency in documenting model failure modes to inform improvements in AI reasoning.
• Clear and metacognitive communication skills, with the ability to articulate your reasoning and findings.
• A degree in Linguistics, Middle Eastern Studies, Translation, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Professional experience in teaching, translation, language documentation, or community work is highly valued.

Work Environment and Contract Details

This is a freelance, contract role. The project is based in Saudi Arabia, and the work is performed remotely. As a contractor, you are responsible for providing your own secure computer and high-speed internet connection. Company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and paid time off do not apply to this contract position. The hourly rate will be determined by experience, expertise, and geographic location, ranging from $8 to $65 per hour.
