Assistant Laundry Manager

About the Role

Rosewood AMAALA is seeking an Assistant Laundry Manager to oversee the Laundry and Uniform Departments. This full-time role, based in Saudi Arabia, involves managing daily operations, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining ultra-luxury brand standards. The Assistant Laundry Manager will support the Director of Housekeeping in strategic departmental initiatives, cost control, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Laundry Supervisors, Attendants, Pressers, and Uniform Room associates, fostering a culture of professionalism and teamwork.
• Oversee all laundry operations, including guest laundry, dry cleaning, valet services, uniforms, and hotel linen processing, ensuring consistent quality control.
• Develop, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all laundry and uniform operations.
• Monitor linen and uniform par levels, ensuring proper segregation, handling, storage, and distribution of all textiles.
• Conduct regular inspections of linen rooms, uniform rooms, machinery areas, and storage spaces to maintain luxury standards and LQA compliance.
• Control departmental payroll, productivity, and staffing efficiency within budget, preparing and managing duty rosters.
• Maintain accurate monthly inventories of linen, uniforms, and discard items, tracking loss and consumption reports.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and continuously develop laundry and uniform room associates, ensuring proper training on machinery, chemical handling, and safety.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all guest laundry requests and handle guest concerns professionally.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs for laundry machinery with Engineering and external service providers.
• Ensure full compliance with OSHAD/OSHA regulations and Rosewood OSHMS standards, identifying and mitigating health and safety risks.
• Prepare and submit operational reports, inventories, payroll data, and compliance documentation.

Accountabilities

The Assistant Laundry Manager is accountable for the overall performance, quality, and compliance of the Laundry and Uniform Department. This includes ensuring inventory accuracy, cost control, payroll efficiency, and maintaining associate performance, safety, and professional conduct. Adherence to brand, LQA, and safety standards at all times is paramount.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in laundry management, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise, coach, and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of laundry operations, quality control, and textile care.
• Proficiency in inventory management and cost control practices.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and OSHAD/OSHA compliance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the Rosewood AMAALA team in Saudi Arabia. The role requires active involvement in daily operational workflows and collaboration with various hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
