About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an Assistant Manager - Housekeeping for a full-time position in Medina, Central Area District. This entry-level management role focuses on supporting daily operations within Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry departments, where applicable. The position involves working with employees to ensure guestrooms and public spaces are cleaned and maintained to standards, completing inspections, and holding staff accountable for corrective actions. The Assistant Manager also contributes to ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Oversee all lost and found procedures.
  • Obtain lists of rooms requiring immediate cleaning and prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments.
  • Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies are available.
  • Communicate guest room status to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering department on guest room maintenance needs.
  • Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Assist in supervising an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces.
  • Manage linen inventory and guest supplies, and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.
  • Supervise Housekeeping and related areas in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.
  • Observe employee service behaviors and provide feedback to individuals to continuously improve service performance.

Customer Service Focus

  • Handle guest problems and complaints, seeking supervisor assistance when necessary.
  • Assist in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
  • Set a positive example for guest relations.

Qualifications and Experience

This is an entry-level management position. Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
