About the Captain (Dry) Role at Luxury Collection

Luxury Collection is seeking a Captain (Dry) to join their team in a full-time capacity. This role involves ensuring seamless service delivery in banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks, maintaining presentation standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate service requirements to chefs and stewards during functions.
• Calculate total charges for group functions and present checks to group contacts for payment.
• Ensure banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee break areas are prepared for service.
• Verify that proper centerpieces are displayed on all tables.
• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver before use.
• Engage with guests to confirm their satisfaction.
• Set tables according to the event type and established service standards.
• Relay additional meal requirements, allergy information, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.

Operational and Safety Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance meet professional standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Communicate professionally and clearly, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

Team Collaboration and Physical Requirements

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Support the team in achieving common goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
