Care Technician

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Care Technician to join our team in the Red Sea region. This full-time role is essential for maintaining the high standards of The Ritz-Carlton by performing scheduled preventative maintenance across guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces. The Care Technician ensures all necessary hardware and appliances are present and fully functional, contributing directly to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms (CARE, RPM, GCPM), meeting rooms, and public spaces as required.
• Inspect and assemble bed frames, including flipping/inspecting mattresses and box springs.
• Conduct general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, and cleaning all guestroom surfaces including tubs, wall tiles, hard floors, walls, and mirrors.
• Execute minor repairs including dusting, touch-up painting, touch-up furniture, tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
• Replace light fixtures and inspect/repair grout and caulking.
• Ensure all required hardware and appliances are present and in working order within rooms.
• Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms in accordance with property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
• Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager or supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
• License or Certification: None required.
