About the Role

St. Regis is seeking a Cluster IT Projects & Transformation Assistant Manager to join its team in a full-time capacity. This role is central to managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, providing essential technical support, and ensuring robust system security across the St. Regis cluster. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for a comprehensive range of IT operations, from network configuration and end-user assistance to the implementation of process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, manage, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair computer networks, workstations, server systems, and associated hardware/software.
• Manage user accounts and computer/telephone rooms.
• Plan and manage disk space for the entire network.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all technological devices.
• Enter commands and activate controls on computers and equipment.
• Ensure backup tapes are securely stored in a fireproof safe.

Technical Support and Operational Duties

• Train and instruct users on proper system use and security protocols.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and resolve technical problems related to computer hardware, software, LAN, WAN, and internet connectivity.
• Respond to program error messages and provide network communications support and technical guidance.
• Refer major problems to vendors or specialized technicians as needed.
• Provide end-user support for all applications.
• Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements for IT operations.
• Consult with stakeholders to assess computing needs and system requirements.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose computer equipment and systems.
• Plan and coordinate IT-related equipment installations, moves, additions, changes, and system enhancements.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.

Workplace Conduct and Compliance

• Follow all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Address guests’ service needs and assist other employees as required.
• Communicate professionally and answer telephones appropriately.
• Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying and implementing ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree, or a Bachelor's / Higher Diploma.
• Related Work Experience: No prior experience required (0-1 years).
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
• License or Certification: None.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to move up and down stairs and ramps.
