Job Description

About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a Consultant Physician to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the assessment and management of patients using an evidence-based approach, adhering to established standards of care, and complying with Fakeeh Care's bylaws, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical duties in accordance with assigned clinical privileges.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments (clinical, socioeconomic, psychological, and functional) and document findings in medical records.
  • Develop and document evidence-based plans of care for patients, ensuring timely implementation.
  • Serve as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for inpatients admitted under their name.
  • Develop discharge plans on the day of admission for inpatients and involve discharge-planning services as needed.
  • Assess inpatients daily, documenting assessments and plans of care in daily progress notes using the SOAP format.
  • Respond to medical consultations promptly and document interventions in a timely manner.
  • Adhere strictly to Fakeeh Care's documentation standards for medical records.
  • Ensure timely completion and authentication of discharge summaries, including discharge instructions and education on take-home medications.
  • Attend facility duties and respond to calls as per the departmental/section call schedule.
  • Participate in departmental and general staff meetings, contributing to discussions on efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Prepare medical reports for patients in a timely manner and according to Fakeeh Care format.
  • Contribute to teaching rounds and activities as requested by the chairperson of the medical department.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.

Continuous Improvement and Compliance

  • Perform all duties in alignment with Fakeeh's Person-Centered care values.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the scope of the role.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and proactively address job-related safety concerns.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.
  • Comply with cybersecurity policies and standards, participating in awareness training.
  • Uphold Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct, policies, and ethical standards.
  • Complete mandatory education requirements at least one month prior to expiration.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
