DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Aroma City Group is seeking a Remote DevOps Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to build and manage the infrastructure, deployment, and automation practices for our products. This full-time role involves close collaboration with the Technical Lead and development team to advance containerized workloads to production-ready Kubernetes, manage deployments across hybrid environments, and ensure reliable and secure releases for multiple customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for products and concurrent customer projects.
• Lead the transition of containerized workloads to production-ready Kubernetes, including cluster design, deployment strategy, and rollout.
• Manage and automate deployments across mixed environments, including customer on-premise data centers and cloud platforms, based on engagement requirements.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning, configuration, and environment management.
• Oversee secrets management and encryption-at-rest practices, ensuring alignment with customer security requirements. Support security and architecture review meetings with documentation and evidence.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and application performance monitoring (APM) across all environments.
• Collaborate with the Technical Lead and development team to align infrastructure decisions with system architecture and integration needs.
• Troubleshoot production issues across on-premise and cloud deployments and participate in incident response.
• Document deployment architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote/distributed environment.
• Experience deploying and operating systems in customer-hosted, on-premise environments, as well as with at least one major cloud provider. GCP Infrastructure experience is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including load balancing, reverse proxies, and API gateways.
• Comfortable working directly with development teams building on .NET, React, and Flutter to support build and release processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
