DevOps Engineer

About the Role

L&T Technology Services is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience focused on infrastructure automation, cloud operations, system reliability, integration, and documentation.

Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and automating infrastructure, ensuring robust CI/CD pipelines, and managing Kubernetes-based solutions. This role emphasizes ownership of production systems and maintaining high levels of system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and automate infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
• Maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, specifically using GitLab.
• Install, configure, and manage Kubernetes-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Take ownership of production systems with a "you build it, you run it" approach.
• Manage real-time system monitoring, observability, and incident response to meet strict SLA commitments.
• Act as a technical bridge between development, validation, and customers.
• Provide operational support and participate in high-impact Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews as part of a 24/7 onsite shift team.
• Prepare technical documentation, customer acceptance plans, and operational readiness reviews to drive continuous process improvement.
• Contribute to team growth through knowledge sharing, technical training, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in DevOps.
• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in cloud operations, specifically with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with system reliability engineering and incident response.
• Strong background in system integration and technical documentation.

Work Environment

This role involves working as part of a 24/7 onsite shift team, providing continuous operational support and participating in critical system reviews.
