Devops Engineer

About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and automation tools that support the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with development, quality control, and IT operations teams to streamline deployment processes, ensure system reliability, and enhance scalability and performance across cloud and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement and manage containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS).
• Automate system configurations, deployments, and scaling using configuration management tools (*, Ansible).
• Maintain and improve system security, compliance, and backup strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and resilience.
• Conduct regular system performance testing, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Document processes, procedures, and environments to ensure operational excellence.

• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
• Solve related problems and escalate complex operational issues.
• Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 4-6 years of relevant experience in a DevOps engineering role.
