About the Role of Director of Security

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Director of Security for Six Senses Amaala in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the Security Department to ensure efficient operations and the delivery of services that align with Six Senses brand operating standards and budget. The Director will be responsible for providing leadership in all aspects of security and loss control.

Key Responsibilities

• Stay informed of industry trends and practices, updating knowledge and skills to enhance service offerings.
• Lead the rejuvenation and continuous improvement of the Security Department.
• Ensure products and services are regularly assessed and reviewed to maintain relevance, innovation, and alignment with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
• Monitor and review security standards through physical presence and adherence to LQA standards.
• Provide leadership and direction in security, loss control, security best practices, and strategic security programs.
• Offer guidance on business security standards and solutions to maintain a secure environment for hosts, guests, property, and information.
• Monitor security conditions, analyze data from internal and external sources, and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with all departments and external groups to resolve security-related issues effectively.
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of legal, statutory, financial, and security protocols, including reporting systems, contractual obligations, and host management practices.
• Maintain relationships with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other security requirement issuers.
• Oversee and direct major security projects and physical security technologies, including access systems, alarm systems, video surveillance, and data security systems.
• Inspect and secure guest areas, public areas, and heart-of-the-house areas regularly, ensuring timely action on security and safety improvements.
• Develop and implement a security training strategy for the property and optimize payroll costs through efficient scheduling.
• Prepare and submit legally required and confidential documentation related to operations.
• Complete all corporate reporting requirements accurately.
• Attend or conduct designated meetings and briefings as instructed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant security leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and operate a security department efficiently.
• Proficiency in strategic planning and implementation of security programs.
• Strong understanding of security technologies and systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and external agencies.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, specifically for the Six Senses Amaala property. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a secure environment within a luxury hospitality setting.
