About the Role
UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking an Employee Relations Team Leader to support the implementation of the department's employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. This full-time role focuses on maintaining positive relationships with employees to promote satisfaction and ensure fair and transparent people practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution of the department’s short to mid-term plans.
- Promote customer-centric services and fair and transparent people practices.
- Monitor and track the performance of direct reports and recommend corrective actions as required.
- Contribute ideas to ensure the smooth workflow of day-to-day operations.
- Comply with attendance protocols and oversee direct subordinate’s daily attendance records; analyze monthly payroll attendance reports and prepare warnings as per the sanction matrix.
- Provide adequate support and guidance to the business and stakeholders on employee relations matters, including attendance, grievance handling, discipline, and employee separations.
- Ensure all employee-related documents throughout their lifecycle are filed.
- Stay updated with current employee relations legislation.
- Ensure HR Direct subordinates comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Support and advise managers and HR team members reactively on employee relations issues.
- Investigate cases of reported indiscipline or misconduct and lead disciplinary procedures as required.
- Investigate cases of grievance with utmost confidentiality and care, providing fair and unbiased resolutions.
- Communicate employees’ action letters (*, promotions, salary adjustments, disciplinary actions).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSEandE and QM policies, procedures, and controls across the department.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
- Perform any other duty, within a reasonable professional boundary, as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this role.
