Engineer Pool Maintenance

About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, * is seeking an Engineer Pool Maintenance to join its team in the Red Sea region. This full-time role involves ensuring the maintenance of facilities and equipment, upholding the company's "gold standards" for exceptional service and guest comfort. Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen and engine room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery for operational integrity.
• Transport necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and general utility disconnect switches for buildings.
• Manage maintenance inventory, ordering parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using established communication protocols.
• Perform surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and woodwork repairs, light bulb and air conditioner filter replacement, and ensure thorough cleaning of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and execute basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing (*, unclogging toilets and drains), and electrical components.
• Program televisions and perform general engineering-related maintenance and inventory tasks.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before commencing maintenance work.
• Conduct repairs in indoor and outdoor gardens, including outdoor garden irrigation systems.

General Duties and Compliance

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications, and properly store flammable materials.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance in uniform, protect property information, and safeguard company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
• Foster positive working relationships and support team goals, responding appropriately to colleagues' concerns.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, dragging, and placing objects weighing up to kg without assistance, and heavier weights with assistance.
• Climb stairs, service ramps, or ladders, and reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, crawling, and stooping.
• Access work-related information using computers.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate, or a vocational/technical training degree is preferred.
• Related Work Experience: Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting is required. Hotel engineering/maintenance experience is valued.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
• License or Certification: A valid driver's license is necessary.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Basic knowledge or aptitude to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electricity, mechanics, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finishing, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy saving, and general building management.
• Basic computer operation knowledge, including air regulation system schedule entry and temperature changes.
