About the Role

Batterjee Medical College, located in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Faculty Member in Mathematics for the Preparatory Year program. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on developing students' foundational mathematical skills, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities. The primary goal is to prepare students effectively for their progression into healthcare and medical studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Mathematics lectures, tutorials, and problem-solving sessions for preparatory year students.
• Teach core topics including algebra, basic calculus, functions, and introductory statistics.
• Simplify mathematical concepts for students from diverse academic backgrounds.
• Apply student-centered teaching methods to enhance engagement and understanding.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard and other digital teaching tools effectively.
• Prepare and administer assessments using platforms like ExamSoft or equivalent.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic reports.
• Provide academic guidance and targeted support to students with varying levels of math proficiency.
• Develop students’ analytical thinking and quantitative skills.
• Ensure compliance with academic policies, quality standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Contribute to course development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Submit course reports and academic documentation in a timely manner.
• Participate in departmental meetings and academic initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty to ensure aligned curriculum delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience teaching Mathematics, preferably within preparatory or foundation programs.
• Strong ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.

Technical Proficiency

• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), specifically Blackboard.
• Proficiency in using various digital teaching tools.
