About the Mathematics Instructor Role

Qureos is seeking a Mathematics Instructor for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in foundational mathematics concepts crucial for university-level quantitative studies. The instructor will teach algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics to students preparing for Business, Engineering, and ICT fields.

Key Responsibilities

The Mathematics Instructor will be expected to:

• Teach Fundamentals of Algebra & Pre-Calculus and/or Applied Math (Calculus/Statistics) courses.
• Develop and deliver clear, well-organized lessons that build mathematical competence and conceptual understanding.
• Utilize contemporary teaching methodologies and educational technology to enhance learning.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement of course content and delivery.
• Develop lesson plans that foster student interest and align with institutional standards.
• Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and encourages problem-solving.
• Provide scaffolding and individualized support to help students overcome mathematical challenges.
• Support students through office hours, academic advising, and pastoral care.
• Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and identify areas for additional support.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students develop proficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate mathematics instruction across the foundation year.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and attendance.
• Participate in department meetings and professional development activities.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional teaching experience at the university preparatory or undergraduate level.
• Strong subject matter expertise in algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus.
• Fluency in English (written and oral) to support teaching in an English-medium academic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience that would be beneficial includes:

• Teaching mathematics in international or English-medium contexts.
• Familiarity with modern pedagogical approaches such as flipped classroom and active learning.
• Experience with learning management systems and online assessment tools.
