Financial Controller (Saudi national)

About the Role

TK Elevator is seeking a Financial Controller for a full-time position in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for ensuring strong financial control, accurate and timely financial reporting, effective planning and forecasting, and compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, and governance requirements within the Joint Venture (JV).

The Financial Controller will serve as a key finance partner to the CFO and management team, providing financial insights, maintaining a robust control environment, supporting business decision-making, and ensuring high standards of financial governance across the JV. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local requirements.
• Manage financial consolidation and reporting across relevant JV entities/business units.
• Coordinate statutory financial reporting requirements and support external and internal audits.
• Lead and coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, preparing financial forecasts, scenario analyses, and management reporting.
• Analyze actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior year, explaining key variances.
• Partner with business and operational teams to understand performance drivers and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, profitability, working capital, and cash performance.
• Maintain and continuously strengthen the JV's financial governance and internal control environment, ensuring compliance with financial policies and delegated authorities.
• Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks, coordinating appropriate mitigation actions.
• Ensure accounting treatments comply with IFRS and relevant statutory requirements, providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions.
• Ensure effective utilization of ERP and financial systems, maintaining strong financial data quality and reporting integrity.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance processes, supporting ERP enhancements and finance transformation initiatives.

Financial Reporting and Control

This role involves reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and other significant accounting estimates. It ensures the integrity and consistency of financial data reported to management, shareholders, and other stakeholders. The Financial Controller will also review key accounting judgments and ensure appropriate documentation and supporting evidence, maintaining high-quality accounting records consistent between management and statutory reporting.

Planning and Performance Analysis

The position requires developing and monitoring key financial and operational KPIs, providing forward-looking financial analysis and recommendations to management. It supports the CFO and business leaders in financial planning and strategic decision-making, challenging business assumptions, and ensuring financial discipline in commercial and operational decisions. This includes supporting profitability analysis by business line, project, customer, or product.

Governance and Risk Management

The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring appropriate segregation of duties and effective financial controls across key processes. This includes supporting internal and external audits and ensuring timely closure of audit findings, while promoting a strong culture of accountability, compliance, and financial discipline within the organization.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in financial control, reporting, or a related finance role.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and local accounting requirements.
• Experience with financial consolidation and reporting across multiple entities.
• Proficiency in ERP and financial systems.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and strengthen internal control environments.
