Financial Controller

About the Role

BDO Saudi Arabia, Dr. Mohamed Al-Amri & Co. is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a secondment assignment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract role requires a professional with strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, financial controls, and treasury functions. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of IFRS, financial closing processes, budgeting, and audit coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting activities and financial reporting processes.
• Ensure the implementation of effective financial controls and compliance with applicable IFRS requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Support budgeting and financial planning initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external audits efficiently.
• Utilize ERP systems and contribute to process and control improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 7–8 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial controls, and treasury within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, month-end/year-end closing procedures, budgeting, and audit coordination.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or an equivalent is considered an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and a demonstrated focus on process and control improvement.
• Immediate availability or the ability to join within 30 days is highly preferred for this role.
