Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor to join their team in the Red Sea region. This full-time position involves overseeing the cleanliness standards of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring quality and efficiency within the Housekeeping Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities such as the pool to ensure adherence to quality standards after cleaning.
• Prepare room availability reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies, prioritize cleaning schedules, and update the status of departing guests.
• Support the Housekeeping Department in managing daily operations and act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Document and resolve room discrepancy issues in coordination with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes to assignment sheets or work boards, and relay all relevant issues to the next shift.
• Complete all required paperwork and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.

Operational Duties and Compliance

• Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, and protect company proprietary information and assets.
• Support co-workers with dignity and respect, and contribute to achieving common team goals.
• Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats, including fine print, and visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers or point-of-sale systems.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Ascend and descend stairs and/or service ramps.
• Continuously use manual dexterity and motor skills, frequently employing both hands and fine motor functions.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing 55 pounds ( kg) or less without assistance, and more than 55 pounds ( kg) with assistance.
• Push and pull a loaded maintenance cart and other work-related machines on sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods or very frequently during the entire work shift.
• Listen and respond appropriately to other employees' problems, and speak with others using clear and professional language.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
