Housekeeping Attendant

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to join their team. This full-time role involves ensuring guest rooms and public areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and order, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest and department requests.
• Prepare and transport housekeeping carts with necessary supplies to assigned areas.
• Enter guest rooms following established procedures, ensuring vacancy before entry.
• Replenish guest amenities and supplies, replace dirty linens and terry with clean items, and make beds.
• Clean bathrooms, remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.
• Verify that all in-room appliances are present and functional.
• Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances; dust, polish, and remove marks from surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance; ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues, supporting team goals and quality standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and over 25 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over various surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout a work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this position.
• Ability to follow procedures for gaining access to guest rooms and ensuring vacancy.
• Understanding and adherence to safety and security policies.
