About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking an experienced Mineral Strategy Analyst to lead initiatives focused on securing, managing, and optimizing the sustainable use of transition minerals. These minerals, including lithium, cobalt, nickel, and rare earth elements, are critical for global energy transition technologies and clean energy solutions. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves strategic planning, supply chain management, ESG principles, and policy advocacy.

Role Purpose and Context

The Mineral Strategy Analyst will play a key role in developing and executing strategies for transition minerals, aligning with organizational goals in sustainability, innovation, and growth. The position involves extensive collaboration across industries, governments, and communities to address challenges and opportunities within the evolving transition minerals landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a comprehensive, long-term strategy for sourcing and utilizing transition minerals.
• Monitor and interpret global trends, including technological advancements, regulatory changes, and market dynamics, to identify opportunities and risks.
• Establish a roadmap for securing critical mineral resources, prioritizing long-term sustainability and resilience.
• Provide insights and recommendations on mineral financing strategies, investment opportunities, and risk management.
• Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to establish long-term agreements with suppliers meeting sustainability criteria.
• Act as a liaison between the company and key external stakeholders, including government agencies, potential investors, and industry groups.
• Represent the company at international conferences, working groups, and forums focused on transition minerals.
• Develop and review financial models, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses for mining and mineral projects.
• Lead or support the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
• Develop mitigation strategies to address risks such as resource scarcity, geopolitical tensions, and supply disruptions.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends that could redefine the transition minerals landscape.
• Track and report on global mineral production, consumption patterns, and pricing trends to inform decision-making.
• Continuously monitor and analyze industry data, reports, and market trends to provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Develop comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership, detailing progress, risks, and recommendations.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating deep expertise in strategic planning, supply chain management, ESG principles, and policy advocacy related to transition minerals.
