About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time PhD Peer Reviewer for Gastroenterology & Hepatology to support its operations in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable position that allows for remote work.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to provide expert peer review for manuscripts submitted to academic journals within the fields of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Reviewers will assess the quality, originality, and scientific rigor of submitted research, contributing to the integrity and advancement of scientific literature.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the novelty and contribution of submitted manuscripts to the field of Gastroenterology & Hepatology.
• Assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research.
• Analyze the clarity and appropriateness of results presentation and determine if conclusions are supported by the data and are significant to the field.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations to the journal editor regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection based on the evaluation.

Required Qualifications

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• A publication record of at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the relevant disciplines.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
