About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time PHD Peer Reviewer for Physical Geography to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable remote position. Applicants are requested to carefully review the requirements and complete the application form accurately.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to provide expert peer review for academic manuscripts within the field of Physical Geography. This involves critically evaluating submitted work to ensure its scientific rigor, originality, and contribution to the field. The reviewer will play a crucial part in the editorial process by offering detailed assessments and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts, assessing their contribution to existing knowledge in Physical Geography.
  • Critically assess the study design, methodology, and data analysis to ensure appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and reproducibility.
  • Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant and up-to-date literature in the field.
  • Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clearly supported by the data and are significant to the discipline.
  • Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Identify and report any ethical concerns or potential misconduct within the manuscript.
  • Make a recommendation to the journal editor regarding the manuscript's suitability for publication (acceptance, revision, or rejection).

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Physical Geography or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • A strong publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
  • A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within Physical Geography.
  • Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.

  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively.

Work Arrangement
