Pool Attendant

About the Role

St. Regis is seeking a Pool Attendant to serve as a key resource for all recreation activities on the property. This full-time position involves providing information to guests about available recreation facilities and encouraging participation in various activities, ensuring a fun and relaxing atmosphere while upholding safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guests with information regarding recreation facilities, including pools, beaches, entertainment zones, fitness centers, and child activity centers.
• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities.
• Promote and enforce the rules and regulations of recreation facilities to ensure guest and member safety.
• Observe activity within recreational facilities and respond appropriately to emergencies in accordance with local operating procedures.
• Provide cashier services for facilities that include point-of-sale transactions.
• Assist with group activities and events during private functions hosted within recreation facilities.
• Identify situations where guests may not safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors or managers.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales.

Operational Duties and Guest Services

• Follow company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to support team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 25 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and service ramps.
• Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Experience: 0-1 years of related work experience. No supervisory experience is required.
