About the Role

Al Watania For Industries is seeking an experienced Project Lead to manage the complete setup of a new manufacturing facility. This full-time role, based in Eastern, Saudi Arabia, involves overseeing a greenfield project from initial planning through to the first production run. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.

Project Overview

This position is responsible for the end-to-end establishment of a new factory, encompassing planning, construction, equipment installation, commissioning, and initial production. The role requires expertise in building a manufacturing plant from the ground up, specifically within a metal or steel manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the factory setup project across all phases, including site readiness, civil works coordination, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up to full production.
• Develop and manage the project plan, budget, and timeline, ensuring milestones are met and risks are proactively managed.
• Manage relationships with equipment vendors, EPC contractors, and government/regulatory bodies (municipality, civil defense, environmental permits, etc.).
• Build and lead the project team, including hiring and onboarding staff ahead of production start-up.
• Coordinate across procurement, engineering, quality, and operations to maintain project schedule.
• Ensure the new facility meets all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards before handover to operations.
• Report progress and key decisions to executive leadership.

Required Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in project leadership, specifically in setting up new manufacturing facilities.
• Demonstrated experience in greenfield projects within a metal or steel manufacturing environment.
