QC Inspector Civil Project

About the Role

ABIS is seeking a QC Inspector - Civil - Project to join their team. This full-time role involves performing inspection and testing of civil construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes and standards. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on various civil works, including earthworks, formwork, rebar, and concrete.
• Witness concrete pours, compaction tests, and cube/cylinder sampling in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Verify formwork, rebar placement, and dimensions against approved civil drawings.
• Confirm materials, such as concrete mix and rebar, against material certificates and specifications.
• Record inspection results accurately and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify the calibration status of all measuring and test equipment utilized on site.
• Support the generation of punch lists and verify the closure of identified items for civil works.
• Ensure that work fronts comply with approved method statements and relevant civil codes.
• Assist in the preparation of quality documentation for civil handover dossiers.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to perform civil construction inspections and testing.
• Familiarity with civil drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and standards.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role that requires daily presence on active civil work fronts. The inspector will be exposed to typical site and construction conditions. The position may require shift work or extended hours to cover critical inspection hold points.
