QC Inspector Civil Project

About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a QC Inspector - Civil - Project to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves performing inspection and testing of civil construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on various civil works, including earthworks, formwork, rebar, and concrete.
• Witness concrete pours, compaction tests, and cube/cylinder sampling in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Verify formwork, rebar placement, and dimensions against approved civil drawings.
• Confirm materials such as concrete mix and rebar comply with material certificates and specifications.
• Record inspection results accurately and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify the calibration status of all measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support the generation of punch lists and verify the closure of identified civil works items.
• Ensure all work fronts comply with approved method statements and relevant civil codes.
• Assist in the preparation of quality documentation for civil handover dossiers.

Work Environment and Requirements

This is a field-based position that requires daily presence on active civil work fronts. Candidates should be prepared for exposure to typical site and construction conditions. The role may involve shift work or extended hours to cover critical inspection hold points. There are no supervisory or financial/budgetary responsibilities associated with this position.
