Civil Inspector

About the Role

Dar is seeking a Civil Inspector to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supervising and monitoring construction activities for roads, bridges, highways, and other infrastructure projects. The primary objective is to ensure all work adheres to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities related to roads, bridges, highways, and general infrastructure works.
• Review approved drawings, method statements, technical specifications, and project requirements before commencing site activities.
• Monitor contractors’ work to ensure compliance with approved plans, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Inspect earthworks, excavation, subgrade, asphalt, concrete, drainage, utilities, and structural works.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, surveyors, inspectors, and other project team members.
• Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports.
• Identify and report site issues, delays, quality concerns, and technical problems to the Project Manager.
• Verify completed work and quantities against approved drawings and project requirements.
• Ensure that materials used on site comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Follow up on inspection requests, material approvals, and corrective actions.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate the implementation of agreed actions.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, inspection documents, and supporting files.
• Ensure that all site activities are completed within the approved schedule.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in civil construction inspection.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on on-site supervision and coordination within active construction environments.
