Civil Inspector

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a Civil Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing civil engineering projects at various construction sites, ensuring adherence to quality standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. The Civil Inspector serves as a key link between the design team and on-site construction activities, providing technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities to support project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Interpret and analyze construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to communicate project requirements to field teams.
• Document site conditions, progress reports, and daily activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Identify and resolve construction-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform quality control testing and inspections on materials, concrete, soil, and structural elements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and local building codes throughout all project phases.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to maintain organized workflow and project timelines.
• Maintain comprehensive project records, including photographs, measurements, and inspection reports.
• Operate and maintain field equipment and instruments used for surveying and testing.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to project management and design teams through clear technical reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a civil engineering field role.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and quality assurance standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.
