About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Quality Inspector to conduct on-site inspections for road construction projects. This full-time role involves ensuring that all materials and workmanship adhere to project specifications, relevant codes, and established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect various road construction activities, including earthworks, subgrade, granular sub-base (GSB), sub-base, and asphalt.
• Verify construction materials against approved specifications and test results to ensure compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive daily inspection reports and checklists.
• Coordinate with contractors to address and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and facilitate improvements in workmanship.
• Participate in joint inspections with client and consultant representatives.
• Ensure strict adherence to Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and project Quality Control (QC) procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Candidates should possess 3 to 7 years of Quality Control experience specifically within road or highway projects.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methodologies, and industry standards.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills are essential for this role.
