About the Role
Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a QC Inspector to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves performing inspection and testing activities for various construction works to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
Role Overview
The QC Inspector is responsible for verifying that piping, civil, and mechanical construction activities adhere to approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. This includes conducting in-process and final inspections, documenting findings, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections on piping, civil, and mechanical works.
- Witness hydrotests, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) activities, and other required tests as per the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Verify materials, welding, and installation against approved drawings and specifications.
- Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary.
- Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
- Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
- Verify the calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
- Support the generation of punch-lists and verify the closure of identified items.
- Ensure that work fronts comply with approved method statements.
- Report quality issues and trends to the QC Manager.
- Support the preparation of quality documentation for handover dossiers.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in quality control inspection, specifically within piping, civil, and mechanical construction.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and relevant codes and standards.
- Proficiency in documenting inspection results and preparing quality reports.
Work Location
This position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, and is a full-time engagement.
