About the Company and Role
Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a QC Inspector to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves ensuring the quality and compliance of construction activities across piping, civil, and mechanical disciplines.
Role Summary
The QC Inspector is responsible for performing comprehensive inspection and testing to verify that all piping, civil, and mechanical construction activities adhere to approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining quality throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process and final inspections for piping, civil, and mechanical works.
- Witness hydrotests, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) activities, and other required tests in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Verify materials, welding, and installation against approved drawings and project specifications.
- Document inspection results and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as necessary.
- Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
- Verify the calibration status of all measuring and test equipment utilized on site.
- Support the generation of punch lists and verify the closure of identified items.
- Ensure that work fronts comply with approved method statements.
- Report quality issues and trends to the QC Manager.
- Assist in the preparation of quality documentation for handover dossiers.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a QC Inspector on piping, civil, or mechanical construction projects.
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- QC/inspection certification (*, CSWIP, CWI) is preferred.
